Time Management Tip #2: Become a Qwitter

QwitterOne of the hardest things about being productive is choosing how to use your most valuable resource: time.

And for many of us, we have too much on our plate.

Why does that always seem to happen?
Well, I know that when I am starting a project, I always look for busy people.

Why? Because they are busy for a reason.

The downside is, we get spread too thin and have the potential to crash and burn.

A great way to jump start your prodcutivity is to become a Qwitter.

Three Twitter Tips

TwitterIf you aren’t a Twitter user, don’t hang up the phone (er, don’t stop reading).

Here is a great place to start: Michael Hyatt’s 20 Minute Guide to Twitter before reading the tips. At Family Life Church, we ask all of our ministry associates to go through this before their first tweet as part of their training.

Here are three Twitter Tips:

1. Know When To DM

Have you ever felt like someone was using Twitter as a personal texting service to connect with their spouse or drunk uncle? I have. It makes me vomit in my mouth.

If your tweet adds zero value to anyone other than the person in the @ reply, then send a DM. If it is funny, a nugget o’ truth or a namedrop-then it is alright to use the @ reply. Just don’t abuse the power!

Time Management Tip #1

PlatesBouncing BallsSpinning Plates & Bouncing Balls.

Everyone has spinning plates. They are the things that you are balancing, whether it be at work or at home, that have to get done.

If they don’t, there will be a huge mess and tons of stress (you know exactly what they are).

Does anyone remember those guys that used to spin plates on television? They would balance like, 24 spinning plates at the same time! It was crazy.
