You've Got To See This Wednesdays

On Wednesdays, I am going to be sharing a video (most likely from YouTube) that you have to watch. Like, I have installed software on your computer and can tell if you have already stopped reading (Don’t believe me? I know you are still reading this…)

Is it productive? Yes. “Brain Breaks” for a set amount of time can actually help you regain focus (I made that up, but it sounds good).

Seriously, this video is one-minute and seventeen seconds of pure creative genius.

What Is Your Passion?

PassionThe notion of passion may seem unrelated to productivity and only slightly associated with creativity, but I feel that its relationship with the two is much more.

In fact, I would go so far as to say that passion fuels both productivity and creativity.

Think about it like this. Have you ever been assigned to complete a task or project that you didn’t feel passionate about.

I bet that you procrastinated on that project and when it was completed, it was completed with the minimum accepted requirements.

I remember in college, we had to write papers all the time. At the end of one particular semester, I had twenty-five pages of papers due.

The #1 Habit of Highly Creative People

Creative DrawingI was recently reading on of my favorite blogs, the99percent.com (actually, it is more like a magazine) and they have a section dedicated to helpful links from around the web.

I clicked on one about the “No. 1 Habit of Highly Creative People” (of course, I change No. to #, so as to not act presumptuous and contentious).

I thought the habit was going to be something like, staying physically rested. I was wrong.

And then I wondered, “how did they decide on this habit?”

I Want This…

Idea Paint It is called Idea Paint.

It’s one of those things that I don’t need per say, but I really want it.

It is paint that makes any surface a whiteboard (that guy is writing on a wall).

Seriously, when my wife and I get our first house, I want my Create Space (aka home office) to have this on every wall. I really wanted to add it to my current Create Space (which is currently forthcoming) but since it is an apartment, we are not allowed to paint the walls.

Actually, if I could have it my way, the kitchen walls and bathroom walls would have it too!

The catch: this stuff is expensive. Like, the professional grade is $100+ a bucket.

But imagine how creative and productive you could be if ever wall had a writable and reusable surface. I know it would help me!

By the way, I am not getting paid or sponsored to write this (although that would be awesome). If everyone passes around this link, I wonder if I am seven degrees separated from someone who works at Idea Paint. Hmmm…

What is something that you don’t need but really want?
