Monday Morning Run-Down

I can’t believe Monday is here. Again. You think we would all get used to the regularity that it happens to appear on our calendars!? It is a good thing I decided years ago to trick myself into falling in love with Mondays…

• I am so excited about the level of involvement of students (both studying in the US and abroad) that have jumped on board with the Chi Alpha Community Blog. Two of my favorite posts so far are: 5 Reasons I Love Chi Alpha & Breaking Free.
• I have been corresponding with Josh Ford (my old college roommate) and he is going to be designing the eBook of icebreakers and I can’t wait to see what he is cooking up. He has worked with everyone from model agencies to non-profits and his designs just fly off the page.
• I downloaded the Moleskine App and I felt cool and hip but I still find myself using Simplenote (iOS) and Simplenoteapp.com (WEB) for all of my note-taking adventures.
• I have the opportunity to travel a lot this week: Saturday I was in Mt. Airy, MD visiting family, today I am heading out on a Minister’s Retreat in Williamsburg, VA, Wednesday I will be in Alexandria, VA for meetings and classes all day and then this weekend, I will be in Sandbridge, VA for our Beach Retreat. I am super excited (and I think some RedBull is in my near future)…
• I can’t wait to hear how The Forsman’s make a big difference as they are en route to New York to begin a new chapter of life and ministry there!
• I really want to watch The Elephant Room (1) but I am not ready to shell out $50 for the DVDs, I hope they go on sale soon (or maybe someone can lend them to me!).
• Next week, I am going to be talking about ways that you can continue to invest in our ministry and perhaps, invite a few new people to the support team as we are trying to finish raising the last bit of our budget. Can you keep that in prayer for us?
