Four Things I Learned This Summer
Although it is still 100 degrees outside and August is the hottest month (at least in South Georgia), this summer is coming to a close.
Students are heading back to school (if they haven’t already) and college football is almost underway (Roll Tide!).
So, looking back, here are four things I learned this summer:
1. Work smarter. Optimization and systematization where buzz words at Family Life Church this summer.
How can we do what we are doing in less time?
What are we doing that isn’t making a difference?
What can we stop doing so we can focus on something else?
These questions were asked a lot and now, we are starting to see the answers play themselves out.
2. Review is key to growth. If anything is above review, it is probably lame or outright horrible.
Question everything. Learning from mistakes redeems losses.
3. Read and listen out of your circle. This will give you a fresh perspective and jolt you right out of your rut.
For me, it was attending All Access 2010 online. I had never heard of most of the speakers I decided to listen anyways and wow, they blew me away!
4. The more that happens without my hands is directly correlated to the level of leader I am. That is huge, think about it.
What are some things that you learned this summer? Seriously, don’t leave without letting us know…
Blane,
Thanks for 4 things short and to the point that will be a help to me.
Franklin
Glad they could help!
