What Fuels You?
Fuel (no, this is not a BP related blog post).
I want to know what fuels your creativity? What fuels your productivity?
For me, in terms of creativity, music plays a big part. I listen to Pandora, and some of my favorite stations are based on Relient K or Anberlin (pop-punk is awesome!).
It also helps me to see what others are creating. I love looking at what people are creating inside the disciplines I am involved with (such as video editing) and outside the disciplines (vector illustration for instance). A source that I find myself repeatedly visiting is ChurchCreate (I especially love their posts tagged “inspiration”).
When it comes to productivity, I read Lifehacker daily and Michael Hyatt. I like the magazine feel that Lifehacker offers in addition to diversity in their articles yet I dig the personal touch of Michael Hyatt.

Lazy rivers
Nice!
They are best with a book…
what fuels my creativity is being out side and looking at the beautiful earth that God has givin us, and allso famous painting and graphic photos.
what fuels my productivity is the after feeling, that you just created something out of nothing and that you have the power to finish something and call it your own
What type of famous paintings and graphic photos do you enjoy? (certain time periods, artists, etc.)
I think that feeling of start to finish, helps fuel me to the next task also…
when I really want to zone out of the every day life distraction and focus, I put on my head phones, turn my iPod on and listen to one of my playlists. My favorite playlists are Enya and my Christian list. When I do that it blocks out all the distractions. Because of my problems with focus and short term memory, I have to block out everything else in order to give my everything.
Headphones help me too, even if they don’t have music!
I agree that I have to remove stuff (noise) in order to create…
Usually…it’s 2 a.m. and BAM! An idea pops in my head that I Must write down or it is gone forever!
And productivity – I Must Get Stuff Done!! I am a list checker! If I make a list – I am automatically motivated to begin checking things Off That List – so I can start a new list, of course!
Lists are always fun for me-and a tangible representation of my day…
I am not sure I am creative at 2 AM but I do have to always carry a moleskine or my iPod Touch in case I have a breakthrough.
